You may also find adware removal guide on this page http://www.thesafemac.com/arg-identification/
If you do not want to remove adware manually use this anti malware tool in order to scan and remove it: https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=social
Download, open dmg file , and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done, quit the application and restart your mac.

Nov 20, 2015 6:42 AM in response to ddhaasby Linc Davis,★HelpfulFirst, never use any kind of "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" software on a Mac. That's how you create problems, not how you solve them.
How do you know about this infection?

Nov 20, 2015 6:55 AM in response to Linc Davisby ddhaas,in Safari the only page that will load is the "Time Warner home page. (dnsrsearch.com) even thou my search engine is Bing, home page is bing.com. it redirects any search to the Time Warner homepage, Also redirects to Yahoo search engine, which doesn't work anyway.. Firefox when i search for any info on security issues with Firefox or any other browser it will redirect back to Bing homepage. All browsers are infected the same way. Safari is completely useless right now. Also wont let any software update. So all that being said, how do i get rid of (dnsrsearch) the hi-jacker

Nov 20, 2015 7:30 AM in response to Linc Davisby ddhaas,That link doesn't work. get a error web page doesn't exist error. when safari loads it gets redirected to (www.dsnrsearch.com--Time Warner Homepage. The preference tabs don't work so you can't opt out. Dsnrsearch is a well know browser hi-jacker that gets piggy backed on some other programs when downloaded. I just thought someone would really have an answer. Thanks for your time.

Nov 20, 2015 7:38 AM in response to ddhaasby Linc Davis,Please start up in Recovery mode. In the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in Recovery, you'll have no access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so make a note of those before you begin, if they're needed for the test.
Test. After testing, restart as usual and post the results.
