Q: unable to redeem gifted album

I've gifted an album to a friend, however they are unable to redeem it.

They live in the same country the only differences is I am on an Apple Mac and she is on a Windows PC.

Once she clicks 'redeem now' via the email all it does is link her to download iTunes even though she has it downloaded, signed in and open.

Hey Marianne,

My understanding is that you gifted an album in iTunes to your friend but when she tries to redeem it, it tries to download iTunes rather than the album. Is that correct?

Your friend should use the directions on this page to redeem the gift album - Redeem iTunes Gift Cards and codes.

If she continues to have an issue with redeeming, use the steps on this page - If you can't redeem your iTunes Store Gift Card or code.
