Q: my cloud apple id does not exist anymore...

Hey,

my phone keeps asking me to put in my password from the cloud.

That id does not exist anymore however.... so whatever password i put in cannot be the real one because the account does not exist.

And because of that i cant reset it or anything.

Help would be very appreciated.

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4.1

Apple IDs are forever; they never go away. If the email address is not longer valid that has no effect on the Apple ID. While it looks like an email address, it is actually a user ID. And the Apple password does not have to be the same as the email account password (and actually, for security reasons, it should never be the same as the email password).

I've actually just experienced some version of this. I restored my phone (solved the search problem by the way) and then restored it from my iCloud back up. While it was restoring, i kept getting a request for the passcode for the iTunes account "username@earthlink.net". That was my old email address. When I switched to username@gmail.com, I properly updated my Apple ID. It worked perfectly. I've never had a problem updating and app or viewing videos. Now, suddenly, the email address pops up. I've never had more than one Apple ID.

My problem stopped when I finished backing up. But my research turned up this:

    Thank you!

When it asks for my password from the cloud and i enter one it sends me to a id-recovery process.

The thing here is, the apple id that is shown in the cloud(there where i could signout if it would exist) does not exist when i put it in the recovery process program.

Do you see my problem? On one side it is shown as the id for my cloud, on the other side in the recovery process from apple tells that same id does not exist.

You can also reset the password using your security questions. If you have not enabled 2 step authentication you can call Apple and ask for Account Security. They can update your information once you prove you are the owner of the account. Or use this:Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security

Hello I'm afraid it's not so, I haven't used one of my old apple id's for about 3 years, now my phone got blocked I updated and restored it and it askes the old apple id password, the id that was first attached to the phone , but the password is incorect and when I try to restore the password it says no apple id exists with that email. But it existed and I had credit card attached and purchased a lot of things. How can I restore it or change the id?

    Thank you in advanse.
