Q: iPhone 6 Plus Screen Orientation Sticks

I have an iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB. I am having the followign issue:

My screen will either get stuck in landscape or upside down. Yes, I said upside down. There are times I will unlock the the phone and when the home screen comes up, everything is upside down, just like an iPad would be when you turn it around. Even when I spin the phone around, trying to get it to turn the screen, it won't rotate the icons. I hit the power button, and unlock it again, but it doesn't always fix it. Last time it was stuck, I had to power the phone off and back  on before it would work right again.

I have checked the orientation lock button, and it is not activate.

I have checked to see if my screen is regular or zoom and it is set to regular.

Anyone else seeing this? I wonder if it is a bug with hardware that controls orientation?

same problem iphone 6 plus 64 gb. orientation gets stuck as described. also an annoying feature is that although the phone is vertical, when i go to home screen from a vertical app sometimes the home screen is in landscape and then switchges to vertical. if i then open the app again, in vertical mode mind you, and go back to home it goes to landscape again!  i do not understand why they havent fixed such a critical issue ln the UI yet.

Had the same issue, Apple support had me restore phone to check if its a software issue. it was not, after restore i couldnt even slide to start setting up the phone. Sent the phone back to apple and they sent me a new one.

make sure you have a spare phone and back everything up before starting up the process.

hassleful, but at least they took care of it. Thank You Apple

My screen was set to "Regular." I set it to "Zoomed" then back to "Regular" and my phone worked fine again. Really annoying.

I had the same issue with my iPhone 6 64G only in addition to the orientation problems, I was also getting the "undo typing" pop up on about every third character I typed. Did MANY soft and hard resets to no avail, so I contacted the Apple support. They told me to restore to factory settings (the only way to ensure it was not a software issue), which still didn't fix the problem; the "undo typing" pop up appeared on the first character I typed after reset . Even though I was a couple of weeks out of the warranty period, they're still replacing the phone. Amazing support from Apple.
