Q: Cant find my Apple TV on my MacBook Air

Hi i have a Apple TV 3rd generation and I want to watch for example my home videos on my tv. I can do that with my iPhone and iPad but not with my macbook, i have enabled Airplay on both devices and they have both the latest software update. When i turn  my Apple TV on i see on my Macbook the Airplay symbol appearing, but when i click it i do not see my Apple TV, what i can do is listening my music from my iTunes library on my apple TV by clicking the airplay botten. So audio is working on iPad, iPhone and Macbook, but video is only working on iPhone and iPad. PLS HELP!
