Q: How to upload music from flash drive

Just bought an iMac. The first Apple I have ever owned. Plugged a flash drive with all of my music into the USB port. Nothing happened. How do I get to the flash drive? How do I get the music into iTunes? Also, what over-priced piece of kit do I need to buy to move the USB port to the front so I do not feel like I am fingering my computer every time I recharge my mouse?

1. Open iTunes > go to the menu bar > select File > select Add the Library... > then navigate to the Music files on the flash drive > select All > then select Import to Library.

2. Get a good self-powered USB hub to connect your removable USB devices into. A self-power hub will help prevent overloaded the iMac's USB port, when you plug in multiple devices with ones that require charging.
