Q: Macbook Pro 13" can't see iPhone (AirDrop)

Hi,

For some reason my Macbook Pro 13" (Early 2015), is unable to see my iPhone 6S Plus via AirDrop, however my phone can see (and send to) my Macbook fine?

My MacBook can also see my friends iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2 perfectly fine. It just seems to be my phone!

All OS's are up to date and on the latest versions.

I've gone through countless websites with AirDrop trouble shooting, does anyone have any ideas?

I've tried:

Restarting both devices

Changing Wireless connections

Turning Bluetooth off and on

Turning WiFi off and on

And a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember.

Thanks to all who reply

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

    Greetings Goodygums,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are having difficulty with sending via AirDrop from your Mac to your iPhone, but are able to send as expected from iPhone to Mac. To continue troubleshooting, I would suggest reading over and working through the information in the following article.

Be sure to review the Tips for sending items section.

I have already gone through this page multiple times previously and none of it has worked.

I'm still not sure what is causing this strange issue.. ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
