Q: Apps won't update after IOS 9.1 update

My App Store has two applications that need to update but the update never completes. Also, my phone hasn't backed up since the IOS 9.1 update. Is there a fix?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.1

I have the same problems on an iPhone 5s running iOS 9.1.

I could update some, not all, apps while NOT connected to WiFi. But updating apps on WiFi doesn't work...

My iCloud backup also doesn't work.

This is what it shows me when I try you update my apps. Anyone else seeing this?

    Exactly the same problem here.

After Reset All Settings, I was able to start Updating an App, but when I connected it to Wi-Fi, the Update process just froze.

The way to get each App updated is to delete it and install it again.

    What a bad bug, Apple.

    Hi,

the same issue here (iPhone 5S, iOS 9,1). When turning off WLAN but using 4G, updating the apps seems to work.

For what it's worth, I am having this problem on both iPhone 6, my iPad 2! AND my MactBook Pro.  I think Apple might need to hire a quality control person .

Thanks.  I don't know why this worked, but for whatever reason it did.   I started on Sunday at home with 8 apps on my 5S that were supposed to automatically update but weren't.   Each time I'd hit the "Update" box it would blink once and just go back to that status.

So one by one I was able to get 5 of the 8 to finally update.  I'm not sure what I did and it took much longer than it normally does but that left me with 3 apps to go (theScore, FB and MFP).   I made the then erroneous decision to try and delete one of them (the Score) and just reinstall, to see if that would do anything but that did not work at all.  The other two apps would not update despite my efforts, including restarting the phone so I just decided to wait until the morning.   Today while still at home these apps would not update and the Score, while still being shown in my apps list had completely disappeared since I had deleted it the day before.

Went to the office, and for whatever reason after 5 tries was able to get FB and MFP to update.  So that left one more, but even asking one of our IT help desk people yielded no results.   Finally, looking at this page I tried taking the wi-fi off and just going with the ATT LTE service and eventually the Score reappeared in updated form.  I have no idea why this worked, but it did.

Very frustrating waste of close to 2 hours.
