Q: Unable to update my iPad.
It keeps showing "Checking for Update..." and a loading sign after I entered Software Update, but it'll stay that way and I had waited more than 10 mins before, I don't know how long it can/should go but I don't have the time for that. My internet's fine as I can browse the web as usual and play games that requires internet, but I can't download any apps that requires a higher ver. iOS. Now it's on ver. 7.0.4; capacity 27.8 GB, available 4.7.

Hello Ctchan188,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I see that you're trying to check for an iOS update on your iPad, but the process for checking for update never finishes. Another way you can check for an update is by plugging your iPad into a computer with iTunes, and updating through iTunes.
Update your device using iTunes
If you can’t update wirelessly, you can update with iTunes. If your computer uses the Personal Hotspot on the iOS device that you’re updating, connect your computer to a different network.
- Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
- Connect your device to your computer.
- Open iTunes and select your device.
- Click Summary, then click Check for Update.
- Click Download and Update.
Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Take care.
