    Hello Mayntz67,

If you are unable to send messages with your iPad, the resource below will provide some initial troubleshooting steps you can try:

If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you are unable to sync your iPad, and your iPad isn't recognized by your computer, take a look at these tips for using your iPad with iTunes:

If Wi-Fi syncing won’t turn on or isn’t working, try these steps:

    1. Restart your computer and iOS device.
    2. Check your Wi-Fi connection on your computer and iOS device. Make sure that they're on the same Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi syncing doesn't work over an Ethernet to Wi-Fi connection.
    3. Check firewall settings. If you use security or firewall software on your computer or router, you can get help with security software, contact the manufacturer, or check the documentation to learn how to open TCP ports 123 and 3689 as well as UDP ports 123 and 5353.

    Take care,
