Q: Apple TV won't stream full screen for ipad or iphone

My iPad and neither of our iPhones can stream to our Apple tv in full screen except for youtube since the last upgrade

AppleTV 2, iOS 7.0.2

    With respect there isn't a latest update for the Apple TV 2. The last was June 2014.

    Mr. Churchill. My Apple TV is version? 3 . I have the latest update and you are correct no updates lately. The problem now developed to this: When streaming from an iPad (retina) with the latest iOs (using Safari) and the iPad is connected to my Apple TV (via Airplay) it will start and at random time (usually after 10 minutes) the AirPlay will "drop" (The video freezes on the TV) but continues to play on the iPad. I suspect Network (WiFi) problems but I am not sure. I use an Actiontec router which is provided by my ISP(Telus, in Canada). On the other hand both the TV and iPad are within 15 feet from the router and from each other. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

    I Also have this problem, I get an irritating border around the TV screen when it is meant to be full screen, on iPad but not when using iPhone
