Q: Compatibility and Home Sharing issues

Hi all

I upgraded to El Capitan yesterday and it seemed to all go well -- except 1) I needed to reconnect the previous iTunes library and 2) a number of my applications simply won't run on this OSX yet. However, none of my Apple TV's can connect to my iTunes Library -- they say home sharing is turned on.  It is and nothing else has changed.

Have others had a home sharing problem AND found a solution?

Mac Pro (Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Make sure you are up to date on all devices. In iTunes file  turn on home sharing and select pictures.

on the tool bar in the left hand corner 3 dots beside internet radio click on them it should  show ,podcasts,Audio books ,iTunes u,apps tones and edit.Click edit then enable shared libraries.

    Hope this helps.

I was having the same problems.  Home Sharing had worked perfectly on both of my Apple TV's until I upgraded.

After trying all of the suggestions out there, I found my solution.

On my Apple TV, under Settings > Computers, I signed out of Home Sharing and then signed back in.  That did the trick!
