Q: El Capitan killed my ability to use email, help?
I cannot get or send email due to the upgrade. it simply freezes. Help?

Sorry to hear that you are unable to use your email. Let's see if we can get you working with your email again.
Now I am unsure where you are using your email, either in the Mail app or through a web browser like Safari. I would first start off with looking at Farce Quit to close the app and then launching it again to see if it still freezes up on you.

If it still happens, then I would look into troubleshooting in a different user on your Mac. This will help determine if this is an issue with your user or something system wide. Take a look at the next article to walk you through that. You can disregard the first section "If the issue occurs in one application only" if you are using the software that came with your Mac like Safari and Mail.
