Does anyone know what happened to my display? Its a 27" iMac model from late 2009 running 10.11.1

It suddenly happend while I was surfing the internet - sometimes it goes back to normal but most of the time it stays like this...

2,66 GHz IntelCore

12GB DDR3

ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB

The GPU is failing, you can have the machine repaired or you can replace the computer.
