Q: Lost iPhoto after upgrading to El Capitan

I upgraded to El Capitan and now my iPhoto is out of date, but the App Store won't let me download and update to iPhoto. I understand that Apple is no longer supporting iPhoto, but what am I supposed to do now? I've got years worth of photos saved on the Cloud and I have no way of accessing them now!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

As I already stated, open Photos.

It should be in the Dock.

Open Photos.
Or, if your version of iPhoto is 9 or later, try this: Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

I just got this computer a week ago, it doesn't have iphoto on it. How can i get it?

If you ever purchased iPhoto from the App Store, it should still be in your Purchases in the App Store.
If you haven't, then there is no way to get iPhoto. You will have to just use Photos.
