Nov 30, 2015 2:23 PM in response to sabilandby Aussie Reader,Ok they responded, there are a few issues....
1. You may only type in the first 25 characters of the town/city name
2. Must use the exact address as shown on your credit card statement
3. Use an address not in Australia as according to the documentation I can find their address checking system only seems to support US, Canada and UK addresses at the moment,
I have asked them for clarification of the Australian address issue as it does seem pointless to support Australian customers but not addresses in Australia, most Australians would use an Australian address for their credit card bills.

I ran through the sequences again just in case something had changed but no luck so it has been escalated again for somebody to work on it.

Dec 10, 2015 12:23 AM in response to Aussie Readerby Aussie Reader,Just an update...
Still working through this with the Apple team.
They have advised
"Payments are not currently accepted from the following countries: Austria, Singapore, Chile, Philippines, Hungary, Ghana, and Mauritius."
And they are checking through the errors on the page and log files as they seem to feel it should work as I am trying from Australia.
I have also tried using a bank that supposedly supports the AVS credit card checking and the card for that failed as well - it was a US bank visa card but had an Australian address for the credit card bills.
Hopefully if we can get this fixed then more people can use iAds to promote their products as the only other option is to apply for a line of credit which requires a commitment of USD$20,000 per month.

Dec 16, 2015 3:34 PM in response to thepropertycouchby Aussie Reader, and another update...
There appear to be multiple levels of validation which are causing problems.
One layer seems to be validating the data you enter prior to sending off to the credit card provider for validation, this seems to need at least a 5 digit postcode in the postcode field. As Australian postcodes are four digits (some with a leading zero) this check fails and seems to give the message advising of an error but does not say where.
If you enter a 5 digit postcode the data is sent off to the next level of validation which actually seems to check with your credit card provider and charge your card US$1. It then comes back with an error presumably because the 5 digit postcode does not match what is on file with the credit card company.
So you get an authorisation error message implying the card is invalid but your card is also charged which would imply that it is valid...
If you try the 5 digit postcode more than 3 times it gives you an error advising that you can only change your credit card details 3 times in 24 hours.
I have passed all the details on to the iAd team but no response as yet.
Now I have to try and get my money back, I have been chatting and talking with Apple Support for 3.5 hours so far and no resolution. The transactions show on the Apple Pay transaction list as this is linked to the card I am using but not on Apple iAd.
