It was functioning before the update. FYI, I connect my iPhone to the Mac using the USB cable.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

After the system upgrade you may need to confirm again the trust for your Mac:

Have you already confirmed that you trust the computer on the Phone? If not, launch iTunes, unlock the iPhone, then confirm that you trust the computer on the iPhone.

Are you using Dropbox?  Then make sure that the Preferences in Dropbox are set in a way, that Dropbox cannot access the photos on your iPhone, when the iPhone is connected.

If that does not solve it, try to restart the iPhone while it is connected to USB, and also restart Photos.

Hello léonie! Thank you very much. The problem was solved after I disabled the access of dropbox and i restart both my Macbook and iPhone.
