Q: My iPod shuffle 4th generation yellow status light is flashing. What does this mean?

My iPod shuffle 4th generation yellow status light is flashing and I can't find this in the manual that came with it, or in the online bigger manual.  What does it mean when the yellow light is flashing.??

Hi Kenichi,  That is a great analogy - Shuffle is an iPod without a screen.  It is so tiny my doctor is sure I'm going to lose it, as he lost his.  LOL.

Yes, I have tried the Export as PDF method and then highlight the header, copy and paste, but frankly this takes too much time.  I'm a very fast and accurate typist so I've found it is easier for me just to rapidly type in the date on my document and then paste in the rest of my highlighted and copied data.  I wish Apple would fix this.

Thank you SO much for all your time and great help with my questions.  I wish there was a way I could contact you again if I have more questions.  I'm not an expert on computers, but I'm doing pretty well considering I have no children here to help me LOL.

Also, you can Reply to an email message, in the window for composing the reply, the DATE can be highlighted.  Not sure if any of those methods are usable (and not more trouble than it's worth) for what you need to do...

Hi Kenichi,  That's not a bad idea.  I tried it, I selected an email message, went to FILE > SAVE AS > text to desktop.  I had three choices - Rich Text Format, or Plain Text, or Raw Message Source.  I left it on Rich Text Format, but it did not save to PAGES, it saved into TEXT EDIT, a program I don't like.

I think you can right-click on the RTF file in Finder, then Open With -> Pages.

Also, if you Reply to an email message, in the window for composing the reply, the DATE can be highlighted. :: this is the best idea yet.  I tried it and it works and I think it will save me time - I won't have to type the date, I'll just have to take out parts of the header I don't want (or just leave it as is if I want to change from keeping only the date and sender's name).  THANK YOU so much.

Yes, but what if I have a new topic, and thus I have to post a new thread?

"I think you can right-click on the RTF file in Finder, then Open With -> Pages."

This means I have to go through the steps to Save As the RTF file onto Finder first, and then right-click etc.

I think it might be faster for me to use your second suggestion - Reply to the email message and copy what I need from the original message that appears below where I'm supposed to write my reply.  Great idea.  Thanks.
