restart in Safe Mode (SHIFT key until you see the spinning gear)
Run MWB software
Remove Norton Anti-Virus - Macs do not get viruses - they get MalWare by clicking on something you should not
restart normally

Please remove the Norton/Symantec product by following these instructions. If you have a different version of the product, the procedure may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" product again, including the "malwarebytes" product.

Restart the computer and see whether the problem goes away.
