Q: I want to delete my videos off of my phone but i don't want them removed from my icloud

My phone is running out of storage space. I have a lot of videos of my daughter when she was a baby that i don't want to lose but i need to take them off of my phone. How can i back them up to my computer and delete them off my phone? if i upload them to icloud and delete them off my phone the get deleted off of everything.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.1

    Connect the iPhone to a USB port of your computer and launch Image Capture.

    Then you can download the videos to a folder on your Mac.

     

    Or launch Photos and import the videos to a Photos Library or iPhoto Library, whatever you are using to manage the photos on your Mac.

    After you checked, that the videos have been transferred correctly to your Mac and are playing well, you can delete them from the iPhone.

    DOn't import the videos to a Photos Library, if you are using iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone and your Mac.  Then import only to a library that is not syncing with iCloud.
