Q: Upgraded to Yosemite and now my Bootcamp Partition is not being recognized

A couple weeks ago I re-partitioned my mac and bootcamp partitions adding room from my mac side to my windows side and then today I upgraded to Yosemite.  Now my windows partition doesn't appear as a bootable option and on the mac side and when I'm on my mac side and I use the DiskUtility it doesn't recognize a Bootcamp partition but when I click on the hard drive it shows a Macintosh HD, Free Space, and Untitled which is the size of my Windows partition.  I've followed some of the other threads on here about this issue but I can't seem to get anywhere.  Can anybody help?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), Bootcamp

Command+R will not let you erase the disk, but Command+Opt+R will. We can delete the LV/LVG first and then erase the underlying disk (Physical volume/disk).

diskutil cs deleteVolume FF0E4AA5-... (please enter the full string from your display ).

diskutil cs delete UUID (UUID comes from the LVG line in diskutil cs list output)

    diskutil eraseDisk...

    diskutil cs create...

    diskutil cs createVolume...

I have just provided the sequence. Please let me know if you have questions. Please see El Capitan Upgrade bootcamp not showing Windows 10 as an example sequence.

The problem I'm having is I can't get into the Internet Recovery mode.  When I reboot with Command+Opt+R it starts to load up but then i get an error -2102F.  I've tried hard wired into my network and through wifi and I still can't get into the system.  Any ideas?

That link was about requirements for hosting a software update server.  I don't think my laptop meets those requirements.  Is that what I was supposed to be checking?  It's also possible something at work is blocking me from accessing the Internet Recovery.  I'm going to try again when I get home.

SUCCESS!!!  When I got home I was able to launch the Internet Recovery (Command+Opt+R) and was able to run through your previous instructions and was able to format the hard drive properly and reinstalled OS X.  Thank you so much for all your help.

Very nice. Please back up OS X before you re-install Windows.

You can fix this problem by recreating your hybrid MBR, then if need be, perform a complete boot repair via the Windows DVD.

Start by download and installing GPT fdisk. Torun it, simply copy and paste following link into Terminal:-

    sudo gdisk /dev/disk0

It will begin automatically after providing you with the current status of your partition tables.  If the report have any errors, then stop it and let me know. Otherwise, simply follow along with the mockup process. When gdisk prompts the user for something, then consult the mockup.

Hope, it will resolve your problem.
