Q: Purchases not appearing within iCloud Music Library

According to article HT204926, your iTunes music purchases should also appear under My Music when you enable iCloud Music Library on iOS and Apple TV devices. Up until yesterday, I have hidden all of my music purchases because there was once not a way to separate them from your synced music onto an iOS device, but now there is with the Offline option. I want to start getting more into Apple Music, but I also have a lot of purchases I've made, and will continue to make, specifically for albums that are not available on Apple Music. The problem is that I'm not seeing those purchases appear under My Music with iCloud Music Library enabled on an iPod Touch and Apple TV. On the iPod Touch, the Offline setting is disabled so it should be showing all Online music, i.e. purchases, and Apple TV doesn't have that Offline feature, so it's set correctly of course. I do see music that I've added though Apple Music, just not my purchases. Now I did just start unhiding some music purchases on my account just yesterday, so maybe I have to wait 24 hours or so for them to appear within My Music? If not, is anyone else who has not had their music hidden like I have also having this issue, or had this issue and resolved it?

    Hi,

I am also experiencin a problem with many of my previous iTunes purchases in My Music in Apple Music ( I subscribe to Apple Music as well as iTunes Match).

My issue is a little different, though.  I can see all of my previous iTunes purchases in My Music; that is, they are all present in My Music.  However, many of these albums will simply not play, even though I am logged into Apple Music, even though I am connected to WiFi, even though all of the albums are in my purchased history in iTunes, even though these albums are available for purchase in iTunes--are also all part of the Apple Music catalog--and even though these albums are all listed in My Music.

In my specific case, ALL of the content that cannot be played through My Music was purchased through iTunes prior to the year 2009; so that's got to have something to do with it.  However, I do not have this same issue with all iTunes purchases prior to 2009; some of them play just fine in My Music.

I've looked at my iTunes purchased music pretty thoroughly on both my iOS device as well as computer.  And there is no discernible factor as to why some of the pre-2009 purchased music will play and some won't (i.e.  some of the purchased music that will play is stored locally on my computer and some is not; the same is true for the purchased music that will not play in My Music).

Can anyone help me figure this out?
