Q: Error 2343 Unable to install iCloud Update on Windows 10 PC

I keep getting a prompt to install the latest iCloud for Windows 5, and each time I try to update it, I get an error message which says that there is an error and the system will roll back. Error 2343. I've tried installing a new version of iCloud, and get the same error. I've turned on Windows Media as suggested in the help documents, and that doesn't help. I've even tried to un-install iCloud fro Windows from my PC running Windows 10 and it won't even let me un-install the program. I still get the error message 2343. Any suggestions? Do I even need this update? Thanks for any help out there!

    Greetings Composer22,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are trying to install the latest version of iCloud for Windows, but are receiving an error message 2343. Are you running Outlook 2016 by chance? If so, this could be the cause of the issue. Support for Outlook 2016 will be available this month via an update to iCloud for Windows.

iCloud for Windows currently supports Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013. Support for Outlook 2016 will be available in an update to iCloud for Windows in December. Until then, if you use Outlook 2016, you can access iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendars on iCloud.com.

Thanks, Joe! I don't use my PC much, but wasn't sure if the update was a security thing, or not. I'll wait for the later update and disregard the pop-ups to update.

    Thanks again,

    Kurt
