Q: Unable to connect Iphone 5C and Macbook late 2008

I have Macbook unibody late 2008 running Yosemite and Iphone 5C running iOS 8.4

I did everything exactly as article describes. Moreover turned off my firewall completely.

Still can not find neither my macbook, nor my iphone when trying to send via airdrop.

What should I do to debug this issue and find out what is the problem here?

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4.1
