For some Minis with integrated video the only way to add/assign more video memory is to add more system memory since the GPU uses system memory. However. that just works to a point and adding more system memory does not increase video memory

What model Mini and how much system memory do you have?

Regardless of what type of Mini you may have, there is no way for the user

to assign a specific amount of video memory.  On those Minis with discrete

graphics chips, it is fixed and can in no way be changed.  On Minis with

integrated graphics, it can only be changed by adding more RAM and the

amount allocated is set by the operating system and will limit to a certain

amount depending on what version OS X is installed and the integrated graphics

    GPU.
