Q: Multiple screens on mid-2007 iMac with Mavericks os
This is the back of my computer (a 20" mid-2007 iMac) and it's running on 10.9.5 Mavericks.
I Think the port furthest to the right is a mini displayport but I'm not sure because I got a mini displayport to hdmi adapter and it didn't go all the way into the socket and also wouldnt keep the Hdmi cable in it. I want to add my Samsung tv as a display to my computer. Is this possible? How can I do it if it is?
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), This is a mid-2007 20" imac

2007 iMacs have Mini DVI ports, if you want to connect an external display you need a Mini DVI to HDMI or VGA or DVI adapter depending on the connections the external display has. If you choose HDMI this will NOT transmit audio, in 2007 that ability was not possible to go from Mini DVI (strictly video) to HDMI.
