Q: Can't Delete Subscribed Calendar from iCal 8.0

Using iCal 8.0, I subscribed to a calendar on my own Google account. There is no option to delete this subscribed calendar––not in "Get info" or anywhere. I have even deleted the subscription on the Google calendar side, but I'm still unable to delete the subscribed-to calendar in iCal. I'm using Yosemite 10.10.3, and this issue occurred under previous versions of Yosemite; it was not resolved with the upgrade to 10.10.3. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

    Amazing!!  I have been driven mad by the fact that I when I put an event on my MAC calendar, the minute I tried to change it to a 'day' event, the item disappeared from my calendar!!  But when I checked either my iPad or my on-line cloud calendar, the event was there.

    There certainly seem to be a lot of glitches in the Mac iCal program since I installed El Capitain!!

    Thank you.

    gayleen7, I had an issue that sounds identical.

    If you are creating/editing and setting a recurring event, it can "disappear" when this is not selected:

    View -> Show All-Day Events

    That drove me mad until I figured it out...  Big updates were released today... maybe we will get lucky.

    Kathykate, I had the same problem. None of the suggestions in this thread helped.

    Then I opened an alternate calendar application, BusyCal. When I right-clicked on the calendar name in BusyCal, the delete button appeared. I deleted the calendar, went back to the Calendar application and refreshed the calendars. The calendar was no longer in the list.

    If you have an alternate calendar application (or if not, see if you can get a demo), try it.

    Thank you Eric!!  This has been REALLY annoying!  You are the only resource I have found for this issue!!  We are trying now.

    I've got the same problem/question. I was able to delete one of the unwanted calendars by going into iCloud on the web, but there's one - a subscribed Outlook calendar from my spouse's old job - that I can't delete no matter what I try.

    Hi Loretta,

    I have the same problem as you. Were you ever able to resolve it?
