WirelessYou did not mention whether you had followed the steps under Find and change the iTunes Media folder location in this Apple support document, so if you have not already done this.....you might want to take a look at this item:

Dec 8, 2015 1:07 PM in response to Michael Mackenzieby Bob Timmons,Sorry, but you have done all that you can do. Nature of the beast, I am afraid, since I have always lost the library on a regular basis when I've tried this with a network drive attached to an AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.
I have no problems losing the library if I attach a USB drive directly to the Mac and move the library over there.
If you have not posted in the iTunes support forum yet, you might want to try a post to see if one of the gurus over there has found a way to do what you want.
