Q: error with windows installer package for icloud manager 5.1 for windows

iCloud Manager for Windows 5.1 gives and error message about error with windows installer package. HELP!

Outlook 2016, Windows 10, Office 365 Home

    I have exactly the same problem. Just a few questions maybe to find the solution together:

     

    - Did you have iCloud previously installed? Did you remove it (using the uninstaller or a specific program)? If you uninstalled, did you log out of iCloud?

     

    [I used Revo to uninstall, as the uninstaller didn't work, I didn't log out of iCloud]

     

    - Are you trying to install manually (download from the website) or through Apple Software update? Do you see the same error message in both cases?

     

    [I tried both, the error message is slightly different, when I install it manually it says a program that is executed as part of the installation has not been closed correctly - translation from Dutch, may be slightly different in "real English").

     

    I saw somewhere on a forum that someone said that you need Windows Media Player enabled to install it. I don't know, it doesn't work for me, but maybe it does for you...
