Q: iCloud Music Library is on?

My music library is HUGE and I want to select what gets uploaded. How do I do that? How big can one song be? I ask because I listed to 5 hour house mixes.

    Hi,

WHat do you mean by huge? There is a limit of 100k tracks.

You cannot pick and choose which tracks get uploaded. Your entire itunes will be scanned to determine what can be match. I doubt that 5 hour mix tapes will be compatible in any event and are likely to be shown as ineligible.

You could consider splitting your library iTunes Match User Tips

    Hi,

The file is far too big for Apple musi or iTunes Match. The limit is 200mb. It has an iCloud status of "waiting", which mean the track is still waiting to be processed. I suggest that you remove it from your library as it is likely that this will be affecting the matching process.

If you want this track in the cloud, I suggest that you split the track into smaller sets.

Actually my problem was getting it on my iPhone, so I can jam on long trips. I called apple and they finally (after 20 calls) figured it out.

This is what I had to do. I had to go on my iPhone settings/music and turn off iCloud music. Witch deleted all the music off my iPhone. Then Hook up my iPhone to My MacBookPro and load up iTunes and manually drag the big mix over to my iPhone. Then after that was done. Disconnect my iPhone from the MacBookPro. Then, I had to go back into my iPhone settings/music and turn ON iCloud music. Then for my long 8 hour road trip. The night before I had to re-download all my playlist from Music While on WiFi. Which took about 30 minutes.

I drove from Dallas to New Orleans and a week later I drove back to Dallas. I had to do it all over again in New Orleans to add another long mix..

There you go. if you want to add anything to your iPhone bigger then 200mb this is what you have to do.
