Dec 9, 2015 12:21 PM in response to dennisfromgrand junctionby my ginger,When you go to their website and click on support, it seams to stop at Yosemite. I don't know if that means they have not upgrade for El Capitan or not. But as far as their support apparently you can contact then directly. The newest version is 4.0 https://www.bluesquirrel.com/products/cbmac/

Dec 10, 2015 3:14 AM in response to my gingerby dennisfromgrand junction,Thanks for helpful answer. Yes I have this latest application and I still have the problem. Their tech support offers no helpful solution so far. Reinstalling does nothing to help open application. Never had this problem before. I suspect El Capitan may be the problem, but they have not acknowledged it, even though I asked.

Dec 10, 2015 8:30 AM in response to dennisfromgrand junctionby babowa,FWIW, I would not recommend disabling Gatekeeper permanently - that is literally your "watchdog" to keep your Mac free of unwanted malware, etc. If you disable it for one download from a trusted source, then at least re-enable it when finished.
And, if a third party app is not working with an OS upgrade/update, then it is the developer's responsibility to update their app to make it compatible with the OS. I'd suggest informing the developer that it is not compatible and ask for a timeline - Apple makes any beta updates available to developers in advance so they can test their software with it. Some developers are slower than others.
And, another thought: your app could fall into the category of installs which are now no longer easily available due to the new SIP feature:
