Dec 10, 2015 11:36 AM in response to Eric Rootby 2ndcommando,Thanks Eric, your post pointed me in the right direction. Spent over an hour on the phone with Bell. They have never encountered this problem and were unable to help in spite of numerous attempts and tries at many different configurations. The Network connections keep telling me it is unable to make a connection.
I booted the modem again and it works perfect. Once turned off and back on it does not work and you have to unplug it again.
Thanks again. This happening to anyone else with the Bell 1000 modem?

Dec 10, 2015 3:13 PM in response to 2ndcommandoby 2ndcommando,Finally spoke to a level 3 Bell Rep and a former Level 3 Apple rep. It was determined that the fault is within the computer and a possible remedy is to shut of the Computer sleep mode as when the computer goes into Sleep mode it does something to the connection and the computer will not reconnect to the modem.
Will give that a try.

Dec 12, 2015 3:50 PM in response to 2ndcommandoby 2ndcommando,Solved. Problem being computer going into sleep mode or being shut off causing disconnect and failure to reconnect to ethernet in modem
Go to System Preferences
Go to Energy saver
Computer Sleep to Never ( Leave your screen saver on)
Uncheck top box where it says "put hard disk to sleep when possible"
Uncheck box "Start up automatically after power failure)
Unplug power to modem for 10 seconds then plug back in.
Have not had a problem since.
