I see that your MacBook Pro is hanging during startup. Here are a couple of articles that should help you sort out what might be going on and help you get it resolved.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up
If you have OS X 10.7 Lion or later, you can also run Disk Utility from Recovery to verify the HD:
You mention that the HD is "not the problem", I would caution against ruling anything out as part of the problem unless it has been checked and found good, even if it's new. Even new parts or software installations can be bad.
