Q: I currently use an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to my TV for video streaming. Is there anyway to close the Mac but still stream from it? Right now it just goes into sleep mode, and the connection is lost.
Hi all,
I currently use an HDMI cable to stream video from my MacBook to my TV. This works great except that there does not seem to be a way to close the laptop and still maintain the connection with the TV. Firstly, I don't like leaving my laptop open, exposed if you will, when it is out of arms reach. So, when it is connect to the TV it is at least 2 to 3 yards away. On top of this, I have recently adopted a cat. His favorite thing to do is to tap dance across the keyboard. Therefore, I am no longer able to leave the laptop standing alone within connective range of the HDMI cable because the cat will walk all over it. Anyway, I've been trying to figure out a way to close the lid of the laptop, have the laptop stay awake, and maintain the connection to the TV. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sally
