Dec 12, 2015 7:53 AM in response to gillian.galby JackT44,Hi! I dont actually think you can manually downgrade to the software you like.
However, If you restore your iPhone then it will take you back to iOS 9 and then you can update again to iOS 9.1.
When I restored my iPhone it took me back to iOS 9 as I was having problems with an App but now it is alright and I am now up to date with the Software.
Make sure you Backup before hand:)
Hope this helps.

Dec 12, 2015 7:57 AM in response to gillian.galby chil1234,I would check your usage and try to pinpoint what may be causing your battery draining so fast. You can check that in settings>battery> then you can check the last 24 hours and the last 3 days. It also shows you the apps running in the background. You may need to turn those off.
If you are still having issues, call applecare and have them walk you thru some more steps
Change the brightness setting on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support- that could also help

Dec 12, 2015 8:08 AM in response to JackT44by chil1234,Even if you restore a backup it doesnt restore the iOS it just restores the information. The only way it does restore the iOS when doing a restore is when you do it thru iTunes and that installs the newest OS always. There is NO way to go backwards once you update the iOS.

Dec 12, 2015 8:33 AM in response to gillian.galby Hubmarine,You are able to downgrade while apple are still signing the previous version which is generally for a limited time. Download ios9.1 from here https://ipsw.me/signed for your device, then with the phone connected to iTunes hold done option and click update select the downloaded file and it will downgrade to 9.1.
