I've had my iPod for a few years now, and whatever i do, it says my apple id will not work. It will most often say things like, "cannot connect to the iMessage server. Try Again." or "Cannot connect to the FaceTime server. Try again." so i try on FaceTime and it says the same thing. Recently, i have bought a macbook air, and surprisingly, iMessage works on the first try. I now want to use this iCloud with my iPod's iMessage so i won't have to check my laptop to see if someone texted me. I might be getting an iPhone 6S soon, so can i just sign into iMessage with whatever phone number i get? and the phone number will be like the apple id? just a small question similar to this that i had in mind. But anyways, can someone please help my situation? I don't want to go to the Apple store, and look stupid and say, "I do not know how to set up iMessage." because i know it should be extremely simple, and it was on my laptop. I try searching the internet, but they say things like, turn iMessage on, which i think is just for phones because its different on iPod. all it shows is the login. Please help and God bless.
