Q: Display Override for max. resolution on NEC LCD2190UXP and Yosemite 10.10.5 - Mini Display Port <-> VGA

Hello there,

I'm using a MacBook Pro (Retina 13", Early 2015) + OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F1021) with an external Display (NEC LCD2190UXP) connected by an Mini Display Port to VGA adapter (original Apple supplement).

As many other users I've got the problem that the maximum display resolution (in this case 1600x1200) is not shown in the display settings. I know there's a way to fix that via display overrides.

Can anyone help me out with the correct override?

Thanks in advance!

Ben

I was trying to find the right file for my external monitor to customize it, so I was looking for the vendor and model:

    Bens-MBP:~ admin$ ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayPrefsKey

        | | | | | |       "IODisplayPrefsKey" = "IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/IGPU@2/AppleIntelFrameb uffer@0/display0/AppleBacklightDisplay-610-a02a"

        | | | | | |       "IODisplayPrefsKey" = "IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/IGPU@2/AppleIntelFrameb uffer@2/display0/AppleDisplay-38a3-66bd"

the second one doesn't exist in the folder where it should used to be. I guess thats the problem...

Can someone maybe provide the correct override file?
