Dec 12, 2015 9:21 AM in response to djfitzpatricby Loner T,Instead of fix boot, you will need to run chkdsk /f /v . Please see https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ chkdsk.mspx?mfr=true for details.

Dec 12, 2015 4:13 PM in response to Loner Tby djfitzpatric,Is it possible to simply erase the partition and recreate a whole new one with bootcamp? By the way, did exactly did El Capitan due to the partition?

Dec 12, 2015 4:32 PM in response to djfitzpatricby Loner T,Yes, but the upgrade to El Capitan means you can no longer use WXP. OS X versions will support an existing windows installation, but new installations are restricted to what is supported by the current specific version of OSX.

Are you saying El Capitan BCA 6 will let you install a new copy of Windows XP on your Mac?

Dec 12, 2015 9:32 PM in response to Loner Tby djfitzpatric,I was saying yes to your question on whether or not i can see the WXP installation files on my Mac OS X screen.
So are you saying it is impossible to create a WXP partition of an El Capitan OS X?
Also I realized I only did chkdsk /p before and not chkdsk /r. Could that be a factor in why it still crashed afterward?

Dec 13, 2015 6:15 AM in response to djfitzpatricby Loner T,From the OS X perspective, the GPT and MBR are correct, and the entry is bootable. OS X will transfer control via the BIOS layer and then the NT boot loader should take over.
I suggest running chkdsk /f /v . /r looks for hardware issues which are unlikely (but not impossible), because OS X is also using the the same disk.

Dec 13, 2015 6:16 PM in response to Loner Tby djfitzpatric,None of these solutions are working. Should I just simply delete the partition and use bootcamp to recreate the WXP partition? I can simply backup and reload all the programs I had on it.

Dec 13, 2015 6:27 PM in response to djfitzpatricby Loner T,On newer version of OS X (Yosemite and El Capitan) there is not support for WXP. Please do not delete it, otherwise you will need to go back to Snow Leopard (10.6) to get WXP back on your Mac. Can you see Windows files from OS X Finder?
