Q: Missing part of my storage on my hard drive, bootcamp install failed.
Earlier today I was trying to install Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro Retina (Late 2012)(El Capitan), and after my computer restarted to go to the windows page so I could install it, i found that there was no "BOOTCAMP" partition for me to select to install the windows program on. My computer had 128GB of storage capacity so i used 32GB for the Windows partition and kept 88GB for my Mac OS side. When i logged back into my mac os user, i found that i only had 88GB of storage. I went into disk utility and there is no BOOTCAMP partition. it only brings up my mac user with its 88GB of storage. Its like the other 32GB just vanished. I have tried everything I could find online, but it was no help. If you have a solution on how to get my storage space back that would be great and also if you had a fix for what i was doing wrong when i tried to instal windows 10, that would be great also.

This is where your "stuck" space is hiding.
A. The less-labour-but-more-time method...
1. Backup OSX using Time Machine - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support . Please see Backup disks you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support for types of disks that can be used with TM.
2. Use Internet Recovery (Command+Opt+R) - OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support. Erase your whole internal disk.
3. Restore the system from the backup in step 1 - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support
B. The more-labour-less-time method is shown in this link - Lost storage space on my mac .
