Q: app download concern.

im still using a phone with an ios 7.1.2.. is it entirely impossible to download a new app which is currently compatible only to ios 8 or higher.. that has a history of being compatible with ios 7?

You can check the information in this support document to see if there is a compatible version of the app. Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support
