Dec 16, 2015 11:39 AM in response to gwenfromtexasby FoxFifth,★HelpfulI used Quicken on a Windows computer for years and when I switched to a Mac I also switched to iBank. It is very similar in capabilities to Quicken although it takes awhile to get used to the minor changes in how it does things. At this point I would never go back to Quicken. Their support is outstanding -- I was having an issue with downloading transactions from one of my banks (which turned out to be the bank's fault) and the iBank support people even offered to get on a conference call with me and the bank. You can get iBank either from the Mac App Store or from their website but if you do it from the website their is a free trial option. https://www.iggsoftware.com/ibank/

Dec 16, 2015 11:44 AM in response to FoxFifthby gwenfromtexas,I liked the Quicken 2007(?), but not really happy with the new one. Is the IBank more like the old or new Quicken. I don't download from the banks or credit cards. I put it in myself. I do not like the choices of reports to print with the new. The old Quicken had the reports I liked and I had more flexibility to customize them.

Dec 16, 2015 11:50 AM in response to gwenfromtexasby MlchaelLAX,Why do you need to change from Quicken 2007? What do you feel is missing?
I just purchased Quicken 2016 (at a discount offered to me by Intuit based upon an email security alert blast they sent to existing Quicken 2007 users) and after inporting all of my data and trying it out, I am sticking with Quicken 2007.
Since, like me, you do not download data directly from financial institutions, you should be aware that you can download QIF files from your financial institutions and import them into Quicken 2007. I do this on a monthly basis.
Why not just stick with Quicken 2007?

Dec 16, 2015 11:58 AM in response to MlchaelLAXby gwenfromtexas,When I upgraded my MAC computer to 10.10.5, I got the impression the computer needed me to upgrade my Quicken, too. Could I return to the old one and do ok? 2007 has been removed from my computer, so I will have to download it again, but don't know where to go to do this without buying it again, if I can!

Dec 16, 2015 12:02 PM in response to gwenfromtexasby MlchaelLAX,You can call Intuit or use their online support chat feature to purchase Quicken 2007 for Mac for $15. Then archive the dowloaded installer for future needs.
Be sure to run the "Check for Updates" feature and update to, as of this writing, version 16.2.3.
Continue to be happy with Quicken 2007!
Also, look into QIF imports on each of your financial institution websites. This feature saves me much time not having to manually enter my transactions. The imported information will have the correct date, payee and amount. You only need to categorize each transaction and then reconcile them on a monthly basis.
