    Hi there m.e.w.,

It sounds like you want to know if the 6 people limit is also a device limit or not. According to the following article it does not look to have a limitation on the number of devices according to the following site:

    Family Sharing

All your family’s purchases, on all your family’s devices.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Has anyone been able to confirm this? I am anxiously wanting to move to the family sharing environment, but not unless it gets me > 10 devices. Otherwise, sharing 1 account, and individual iCloud (and Message and Facetime) accounts works.

I have seen this response that indicates that it is 6 accounts, but a total of 10 devices:

    Re: Family sharing-Apple music

I attempted family sharing a while ago, and backed out, but am willing to try it again if I can get to 13 total devices (outside of Apple TVs that don't have the ability to store).

6 people X 2 devices each == 12. 1 computer that can also play the media. Total, 13.
