Q: What should settings be on iPhone to minimize photo storage on phone?

If I am signed into iCloud photo storage, what should settings be on iPhone.  I want to avoid having photos stored on phone and taking up too much space.  Do I chose Optimize iPad Storage?

iPod nano (6th generation), iOS 6.1.2

If you are using iCloud Photo Library (Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library), you cannot avoid having all of the photos stored on the iPhone or iPad. The most you can do to reduce the storage required on the device is to turn on Settings > iCloud > Photos > Optimize iPhone (or iPad) Storage.

Another option, if you want to completely remove some photos is to use a different cloud storage service. Both Dropbox and Flickr have options for cloud-only storage of photos.
