Q: Apps not installing

Hi,

Just turned on my brand new Apple Watch, it updated to 2.1 OS.  I noticed many of the apps that say they have an iwatch version are not installing on my watch.  Examples are Shazam and the USAA app.

What can I do to get those apps to install on my watch?

Thanks!

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.2

    Hi - try these steps:

    On your iPhone, in the App Store app:

    - Tap on Updates (tab);

    - If updates are available, tap to update individual apps or tap on Update All (upper-right);

    On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab):

    - For each affected app, tap on the app name, then turn off Show App on Apple Watch;

    - Wait for a few moments, then turn the option on again.

    Restart both your iPhone and your watch. Turn both devices off first, then restart your iPhone before restarting your watch:

    - To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off.

    - To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

    Thanks!  What I found was that in the Watch app on my iPhone if I scrolled down on the My Watch section I saw a list of apps.  When I clicked on them there is an option 'Show App on Apple Watch'.  After changing that setting the apps appeared.

    Thanks!

    there is also an option in the Apple watch app on the Iphone

    General/App Install

    which you might want (or not) to set it so any apps downloaded to the phone that have a watch component will be installed on the watch automatically
