Q: Since I updated to El C 10.11.2, Safari has been wonky.

Pages hang, don't load, stall other tabs, etc. I've rebooted & closed and restarted. Nothing changes. Anything I can do to fix this?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Go step by step and test.

    1. Empty Caches

        Safari > Preference > Advanced

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

    2. Delete Cookies

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:

        Click the “Details” button.

Remove all cookies except  ones from Apple, your internet service provider and banks.

    3. Disable Extensions and test.

        Safari > Preferences > Extensions

        Disable all extensions and test.

Enable Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the “Uninstall” button.

Yes, SoyRufoDC, I have been having the same problems with Safari.  I've read all the supposed fixes and done them, and it still doesn't work properly.  This is something Apple has to fix, imho.  I use Chrome instead, but would like to use Safari.  Very, very annoying.

Tried all the steps the you recommended, but problems persist. I find pages reloading repeatedly, with any entries I made deleted and reverting back to default page. Noticed on morningstar.com website. Problems not evident using Chrome.
