Q: RAF-files (fujifilm x10) in photos not recognised

Mij app Photos don't recognise my RAW-files of my fujifilm camera. In other words, I can't use Photos to see and organise my RAF-file photos.

Anyone who can help me?

First thing to check is whether your camera is already supported. You can find that information here: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X Yosemite - Apple Support

or, if you have already upgraded to El Capitan, check here: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Then, I would like to know if you are shooting in RAW+jpg, because Photos makes no distinction and will stack the imported pictures. So... your RAWs might be there, but 'underneath' the JPGs. You can still get to them, if you want, in the Edit-mode.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I just shoot in RAW and convert them afterwards in Jpeg. The thing is, there's no logic in it. Some RAW photos are shown, other RAW pics in the same folder can't be shown. I've never had these problems in iPhoto. Very frustrating and don't know what to do.

And the files are definitely the same type of RAW (I know some cameras do something like sRAW besides the normal RAW), because that would make sense?

I also know there are issues with specific camera types. It might well be that your Fujifilm is one of these. In that case, I suggest that you keep notifying Apple through: https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

If you search these forums (I must admit that the search function is not the best I've ever seen), you will come across more issues with Fujifilm (specific camera types). I am referring to Léonie's answer here: Re: Importing RAW format

but meanwhile we are a year later, and I believe the topic I'm referring to relates to the former iPhoto, and not the current Photos.

This is perhaps a bit off topic, but I like to keep my RAW (.RAF) files and my jpegs separated in Photos.  If I import them in two steps, Photos doesn't stack them.  I use Image Capture to import my photos from my Fuji X100T to a folder.  I sort the folder by file size, which lets me quickly select the smaller jpegs, and drag and drop them into Photos.  Then I go back and select the larger RAW files and drag and drop them.  I am sure there is an even quicker way, but this works for me...
