Q: Siri support on tvOS Apple Music is terrible
So i've got the new tvOS update on my Apple TV 4 and i have subscribed to Apple Music. After reading the numerous "tvOS 9.1 now supports Siri with Apple Music" i thought i'd give it a try.
Nowhere on the net could i find any syntax or keywords on how to actually do a voice search so i started off with the basics. "Show Me Adele" presented me with a load of random movies, no actual albums or songs from the artist. After a bit of googling i tried a slightly different wording "Show me the musical artist Adele" to which it presented me with one single choice, again a movie but this time it appeared to be a documentary about Adele. Again, no songs or albums displayed.
I tried various others such as "Show me the musical artist Taylor Swift" and "Show me the musical artist Pet Shop Boys" only to be presented with an error along the lines of "Can search that from here" or "No items found" (can't remember the exact wording but either way no results were returned).
I tried all these from the landing page of tvOS, i tried from inside the Music app too but still no joy. In all cases the text that came up matched what i was speaking so the voice recognition had no problem understanding me, it just wouldn't return any search results despite the fact i could manually type in the search box and return many hundreds of results.
All in all, not impressed first with the lack of instructions in how to operate the voice search in Apple Music and secondly with the fact that it just doesn't work.
Anybody else had any issues or got any tips on how to navigate this thing?
