Sep 8, 2015 6:17 AM in response to lkwkrby joe_7399,Hello lkwkr,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that at this point you are using Windows 8.1 and are attempting to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, but receive an error. To make sure that not only iTunes, but all of its components have been removed properly and in the correct order prior to reinstalling, I suggest reading over and working through the steps listed in the attached article below.
Remove iTunes as well as its related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
- iTunes
- Apple Software Update
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Bonjour
- Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later). On some systems, iTunes might install two versions of Apple Application Support. This is expected. If both are present, be sure to uninstall both versions.
Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them. Doing so might have unintended effects.
Have a great day

Sep 10, 2015 1:09 PM in response to joe_7399by Famercado,Hey Man,
Didn't you read the question? We can't uninstall itunes or reinstall itunes. Simply telling us to go to the control panel, and then uninstall programs when it doesn't work isn't an answer. Can somebody answer this question correctly, or does someone have an answer? Thank you.

Sep 20, 2015 1:59 PM in response to lkwkrby tehgodfathar,I am having the same problem.
Since windows 10 was clunky and ugly, I downgraded back to windows 7.
Since then It gives me constant errors when trying to in-install and or re-install itunes.
It won't let me do anything from windows installer. I deleted all bonjour, apple, and common files relating to both in safe mode, still no luck. I am assuming something needs to happen in the registry to allow a clean install.
the exact error is such that windows installer says (the feature you are tyring to use is on a network resource that is unavailable..... (and it is looking for an MSI file related to bonjour, apple, etc. ). Similar error comes up when I try to re-install itunes. Must have been files that left when I gave windows 10 the boot.
Help!

So followed the steps posted by Joe and it did not work initially.
Then i tried uninstalling quicktime and icloud first then the the rest of the apps and finally removed apple updater and it worked.
Following i ran a registry cleaner to cleaned the residue restarted the computer.
Ran the Installer for itunes 12.3.0 and worked fine.

Oct 20, 2015 5:44 PM in response to lkwkrby ann_d_804,I "upgraded" to Windows 10 and went back to 7. iTunes will not open and I cannot download it. I've tried all of the above suggestions and nothing is working. Any other ideas would be helpful!
After I upgraded to 10, I installed the iTunes update (I can't remember which version of iTunes I had before, but it had been a while since I updated.) I'm wondering if this is the problem.....
I THINK that the "Apple Application Support 32 and 64 bit" both updated, as did the "Apple Mobile Device Support." I am unable to delete iTunes, QuickTime, Bonjour, or Apple Software Update. I receive the error message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."
I am logged in as an administrator but am on a Homegroup...not sure if that affects anything.
Thanks for any help!!!!

Oct 31, 2015 2:18 PM in response to lkwkrby minus_pi,I had this same exact problem
Here is the solution:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/en-us
Download and run program, simple steps to follow. List of programs appear, select Bonjour, and continue
Run Itunes installation again, if further problems occur, rerun MicrosoftFixit Program, and select the program that caused the itunes to abort installation, i think it was Apple Software Update, Rerun Itunes installation again, itunes may fail to install again, however rerun MicrosoftFixit Program AGAIN, this time choose Itunes from list of programs, once done, Re-run Itunes installation. U should be fine!!
