Dec 21, 2015 5:34 AM in response to Joseph0004by Loner T,2015 Macs do not support W7 officially. You can use USB2 flash drive to build an installer, but 2015 Macs do not need a USB. Please see https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/assistant/6.0/#/bcmp173b3bf2 for reference.

Dec 21, 2015 10:50 AM in response to Loner Tby Joseph0004,Thank for your quick reply, My bootcamp has an error whenever I try to download or install the windows 7 using Boot Camp Assistant which lead me to manually installing Windows 7.
Now I'm stuck at the "Language" option on the Windows 7 Installer, can't choose or continue because my mouse nor my keyboard can't be recognised.
Will there be a way for me to set the Windows 7 installer to read USB 3.0?

Dec 21, 2015 10:56 AM in response to Joseph0004by Loner T,I have not tested this myself, but you can try - http://codeabitwiser.com/2014/03/how-to-install-windows-7-with-only-usb-3-0-port s/ .
Is your USB flash drive a USB3? The Windows Installer does not have drivers to read USB3 (but the link above may help get the USB3 drivers).
If you can find a USB2 flash disk, it would make it much easier.

Dec 21, 2015 11:39 AM in response to Loner Tby Joseph0004,I'm pretty sure that this I'm using a USB2 flash disk, but when I try to use BCA the error "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation."
I've tried using the procedure on updating the info.plist but I ended up on crashing my BCA and I can't get Xcode to try the fix on the BCA crash. any thoughts?
Would you happen to know if Windows 8/8.1 or 10 would have a USB3.0 drive on the installer?

Dec 21, 2015 12:25 PM in response to Joseph0004by Loner T,Please verify that you are using a USB2 flash drive.
Your physical USB ports will support both USB2 and USB3 flash drives. A 2015 model officially does not support W7 as noted in Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support . Modifying the .plist is not a good idea.
You can try a SMC and NVRAM reset with all external storage disconnected.

and try BC Assistant with W7.
On your current USB, can you check Bootcamp.xml and the line which has Product Version? What version of drivers do you have?

I have managed to get a hold a of Windows 8.1 iso, during halfway of the BCA installation my flash drive gets ejected and I ended up in a dead end. -
Dec 22, 2015 8:59 AM in response to Joseph0004by Loner T,Is this during Windows installation, or during BC drivers installation after Windows is installed?
