Q: Can iCloud be used to share documents

I am using iCloud to store most of my files (documents).  Is there a way to identify a subset of folders that can be shared with another user?  I was able to do that using Dropbox.  I can't find anything in help on the topic so I assume iCloud is not able to share space between users.  If that's the case, is anyone aware of ways to SHARE documents?  I am mostly interested in Pages and Numbers documents.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response.  Okay, I did that, and my wife got the link in her email.  When she opened it, it opened in iCoud Pages (Safari).  and then made an edit.  So, how does she save it back to my iCloud?  If it means mailing then it really doesn't allow us to really share a file.  We'll be back to messaging the document back and forth.  Not the same thing as Dropboxing.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

If she saved the document, it should update. Try the box with an up arrow to share. Do a test and see if that is happening.

I am still new to this part of using my Mac so I need to ask remedial questions.  So, she opens the document in iCloud Pages and makes the edits.  So, how does she save it?  The Safari menu is up and it has a "Save as" option but that wants to save it to "Downloads".  So please, where/how should she save it.

    Thanks again.

PS.  When I called the Apple Help Desk they said it was not possible.  But they never mentioned Share.

I haven't done it with a shared document but with my own, when editing a Pages document in iCloud Drive it saves changes automatically. There isn't a way not to save.
